Indiana State Shows Way in Rural Health Care
Indiana State students from such areas as nursing athletic training, physical therapy, health administration and social work prepare for the realities of practicing in rural areas, where specialists are in limited supply and preventative health is important. The university also is launching three new programs to help those seeking health care in rural areas.
Alumni of the Future – Fall 2010
Nine ISU students traveled China this summer, two competed in a women’s national air race, and one determined a way to graph EKG signals which helps detect possible problems before they occur. Plus, senior Kali Diethrich spent her summer learning what it is really like to be an actuary.

Kali Diethrich, an ISU senior from Terre Haute majoring in insurance and risk management, spent the summer working in the corporate headquarters of Allstate Corp. in Northbrook, Ill. There, she impacted the bottom line of the insurance company.
